Refund policy

Welcome to The Wandering Collector! The below return and refund policy governs your use of our website and services. By accessing or using our site, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1.1. Consumer Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL): Our returns and exchanges policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Under ACL, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if your product is faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose, even if the product is on sale or discounted.

1.2. Return Eligibility: We offer damaged goods returns however, we do not offer change of mind returns. 

1.3. Pre-Order Refund Eligibility: For pre-orders, we do not offer refunds to account within 10 business days of release as stock is allocated in advance. If there is a delay in product arrival at our warehouse, this will be communicated ahead of time at which point the buyer does receive 1 week to cancel the order resulting in a full refund or store credit.

1.4. Pre-Order Cancellation: When you place a preorder with us, you are purchasing an item that is not yet in stock and will be supplied at a later date. Estimated release or shipping dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. By placing a preorder, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms on supplier changes and pricing. All pre-order cancellations are subject to 80% return to original payment and 20% store credit unless otherwise agreed due to restocking and credit card fees incurred by TWC. A 5% restocking fee will be charged if the customer prefers a full refund to original payment which will be processed within 3 business days.

1.4.1: Allocation & Supplier Changes: Preorder quantities are subject to supplier allocation and availability. In the event that our supplier reduces our allocation, or is unable to supply the full quantity ordered, we reserve the right to: partially fulfill your preorder and refund the unfulfilled portion or cancel the preorder and issue a full refund, at our discretion. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.

1.4.2: Pricing: All preorder prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Any subsequent price changes (increase or decrease) will not affect existing preorders. 

1.4. Non-Returnable Items: Certain items, such as opened packs of Pokémon or One Piece cards, may not be eligible for return or exchange. Please check the product details for any specific return restrictions. Orders cannot be cancelled for change of mind once placed. This does not affect your right under the Australian Consumer Law, including your rights to a refund or replacement if the goods have a major failure.

1.5. Return Process: To initiate a return, please contact us via the chat box with your order number and the reason for the return. Alternatively, please reach out via email at thewanderingcollectorau@outlook.com. We will provide you with further instructions on how to send the items back.

1.6. Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund or exchange. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to appear on your original payment method. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

1.7. Damaged or Incorrect Items: If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange for a return or exchange and cover the return shipping costs
